Stephen Johns

His story is the American story — values from the heartland, a middle-class upbringing in a strong family, hard work and education as the means of getting ahead, and the conviction that a life so blessed should be lived in service to others

With a father from Maine and a mother from Massachusetts, Johns was born in Massachusetts on September 11, 1977. He was raised with help from Siblings, Whom there are four of. Each of which, is to his senior.

Upon his 19th year, Stephen sought to serve his country, enlisting into the United States Marine Corps. During his four year contract, Stephen served as a Combat Assault-man for the infantry. He would spend the four years between Guantanamo Bay Cuba, Korea, Okinawa Japan, North Carolina, and California among others. After an Honorable discharge he worked his way through college with the help of scholarships and student loans. Stephen then moved to Holyoke Massachusetts, Where he started a small business in carpentry.

Later he went on to attend Graduate school at RISD. During these years, he returned to Holyoke to help lead a voter registration drive, help with local politic campaigning on behalf of his partner, and remain active in his community. In his spare time Stephen enjoys creating fine works of art.

Stephens years of public service are based around his unwavering belief in the ability to unite people around a politics of purpose.
